Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has become the latest artist to address a disagreement with a member of Wizkid’s fan base. Known as “Wizkid FC,” the singer’s dedicated group of fans is well-known for their passionate support of Wizkid, as well as their strong opinions about other artists in the Afrobeats scene.
Tiwa Savage is the latest artist to speak out against harassment from Wizkid FC after some fans mocked her for dropping a song on the same day as Wizkid.
On November 15, 2024, Ruger released his new track *Toma Toma*, featuring Tiwa Savage, and she shared the collaboration on her Instagram with the caption, “Told y’all this one is special. The @rugerofficial called and I answered.”
In response, a member of Wizkid FC commented, “Dey play, nothing special pass Wizzy hits.”
Tiwa Savage has become the latest artist to find herself in a disagreement with Wizkid FC, a fanbase known for its contentious interactions with other Nigerian musicians.
Recently, Wizkid FC has been embroiled in a back-and-forth with Skales, who has faced online criticism from the group over his claims that he once wrote songs for Wizkid during their time together on Banky W’s EME label.
Additionally, Burna Boy and Davido, along with their respective fanbases, have frequently clashed with Wizkid FC in ongoing online debates about who holds the title of Nigeria’s biggest music star among the three.
