CKay Establishes New Record Label With His Friend

Nigerian artiste Chukwuka Ekweani, popularly called CKay, , has launched a record label called Boyfriend Music Limited in collaboration with his childhood friend and manager, Joseph Salubi. The label, based in Lagos, Nigeria, aims to help artists, songwriters, and producers receive their rightful royalties..

To extend its reach to artists globally, Boyfriend Music Ltd. has also established a U.S. branch, Boyfrnd Music LLC.

CKay expressed the milestone on Instagram, reflecting on their journey from Kaduna, Nigeria, to their current success in music. He praised Salubi, saying, “I couldn’t be more proud of this moment. From us being two young dreamers in Kaduna, Nigeria, to travelling the world and blessing people with the gift of music… Seeing how far we’ve come gives me great joy. I love and appreciate you always broski!”

Salubi disclosed that he will serve as the managing director of the music company while CKay would fill in the role of a CEO.
